Most of our customers have been or are in the process of migrating to the public Cloud. On the other hand there are people reluctant to provide their data on the public Cloud. With an Oracle Exadata Cloud at Customer you can have the best of both worlds: Cloud computing with all its advantages, but on the other hand keeping the data in your own data centers. If you decide to go to that platform, then a lot of opportunities usually become available:

  • Optimize your tasks with tools like Ansible
  • Dynamically add and remove CPU cores to your systems and just pay for what you’ve actually used
  • Monitor costs of your system and charge your business units accordingly
  • Get a system which runs good out of the box (reduced engineering efforts when migrating to the new system)
  • Reliably migrate to the new platform using a tool like Zero Downtime Migration

This presentation aims to share with you the experience dbi services has gained in projects with the Oracle Exadata Cloud @ Customer platform.
