1. Collection of Data

Data is collected from you when you contact us.

We may keep a record of this correspondence; or, in addition, we may collect your IP address and use Google Analytics in our Applications to collect anonymous information about visitor behaviour. The information generated by the cookies about your use of the Website and/or Applications and your current IP-address will be transmitted by your browser and will be stored by Google on servers in the United States and other countries, a transfer to which you hereby expressly agree. Google will use this information on our behalf for the purpose of evaluating your use of the Website and/or Applications, compiling reports on related activities and providing other services relating to these activities and internet usage to us. The IP address collected through Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; however, if you do this you might not be able to enjoy the full functionality of the Website concerned. You may also stop the transmission of information generated by the cookies regarding your use of Applications and of your IP address to Google, by downloading and installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available here: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

2. Cookies and Re-targeting

We believe that the use of cookies enables us to provide you with a more meaningful web experience. We use cookies and other tracking technologies to see which pages you have visited, for traffic analysis and optimisation purposes as well as for re-targeting as part of online marketing campaigns.

We do not collect or store any personal data through these cookies or other tracking technologies.

Our Website uses cookies, i.e. small pieces of information sent to your browser and stored on your computer hard drive which, by themselves, cannot be used to discover your identity.

Please take note that, you may disable these cookies in your settings at any time, but this may prevent you from enjoying all the functionalities of our Website. Should you decide not to have any cookies installed on your computer while browsing our Website, you understand that your experience may be limited and that you may not have access to all functions and pages. You may also use your browser’s anonymous usage setting (called “Incognito” in Chrome, “InPrivate” for Internet Explorer, “Private Browsing” in Firefox and Safari, etc.).

Re-targeting

Our Website uses retargeting, which allows us to make our online content more interesting for you. Retargeting technology means we can advertise recently viewed and related products on other companies’ sites. We do this by analysing user behaviour from data collected by our cookies. This type of data is anonymous, with no personal information being stored and no user profiles.

The list below describes the cookies we use and what we use them for:

2.1 Operational Cookies

These cookies are strictly necessary to provide you with the services available on a website and to use some of its features, such as access to secure areas. Because these cookies are strictly necessary for the proper functioning of a site, they are not subject to consent. You can block or remove them by changing your browser settings, but doing so will affect the operation of the site.

Operational cookies:

  • Remember if you have ever visited this website and remember your preferences.
  • Remember if you closed popup messages for 30 days. This will help us avoid spamming our users. Without cookies, we would display popups each time a page is reloaded.
  • Keep you connected to the site.

We also use cookies to store your cookie preferences. No personal data is collected in this case either. These cookies contain “true or false” according to your preferences. They are kept for 12 months.

2.2 Youtube cookies

We use Youtube to post videos on our website. These cookies support video functionality and deleting them can prevent videos from being viewed.

These cookies collect IP addresses and track your online activities over time and on various websites or other online services by collecting video viewing information on our website automatically. These technologies can “recognize” you on the different devices you use, such as a desktop or laptop, your smartphone or tablet.

Third parties (advertisers) use this information to provide advertisements about products and services tailored to your interests. These ads can appear on other websites or mobile applications from any of your devices.

At no time do we have access to the information collected by these cookies, but we may use them in aggregate through Google’s advertising platform to offer videos similar and/or complementary to those you might have viewed on this site. This process also allows us to manage and monitor the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.

You can find out more about the use of Google cookies here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/types

By default, and in accordance with the law, these cookies are not activated on our site without your consent.

2.3 Analytical cookies

We use the Google Analytics service. This tool collects information which allows us to see how users interact with our website, to refine this experience by improving the site and also, and especially, to better understand our audience (you!). For example:

  • Which themes are the most popular? (to produce more content)
  • What are the best sources of traffic?  (to understand where we need to make the most marketing efforts)
  • How many of our visitors contact us? Visit our social media profiles? After seeing what pages? Where did they come from? Are they on mobile or on computer? Are they young or old?

Being able to answer these questions will help us not only to offer you a better experience but also to invest in attracting the right people in an informed way.

Let us be clear: we are not interested in the data of each individual visitor. And anyway, we don’t have access to it. On the other hand, the aggregate data of all our visitors helps us and is valuable for the reasons mentioned above.

Please note that this is not personal information in the true sense of the word. At no time do we have your email address, your name, your age, your address, etc.

At best (with your consent), we have estimates of age ranges, geographical distributions, types of devices used, a measure of actions carried out on our site (beyond simply the pages consulted). We can, for example, know if you have viewed a video, downloaded a document, clicked on a specific link, etc. But again, we will know it in aggregate, never personally.

By default, without your consent, we have set Google Analytics to collect only basic site usage information. For example: What pages? What sources of traffic?  That’s as far as it goes. By refusing the consent below, these cookies (valid for 12 months) will nevertheless be placed on your browser, since the law allows us to do so.

(Note that you have the option to block or remove cookies by changing your browser settings or installing https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/

However, by giving your consent, cookies will also be deposited. However, by giving your consent, the cookie will not only be deposited but we will also gain more instructive information. We will then be able to analyse, in an aggregated way (never individually, as this does not interest us), which of our visitors have the most value. We will be able to  carry out a global profiling and thus continue to produce content which pleases our visitors, but also, if we wish so and with other tools (quoted below), produce advertisements targeted towards relevant people. Either you, because you have visited this site and allowed these features, or people with relatively close interests.

By default, and in accordance with the law, these additional features are not enabled without your consent.

2.4 Google Optimize cookies

Google Optimize is a test and experiment platform. In particular, we use it to test page variants against each other. At random, 50% of visitors will see variant A and the other half will see variant B. After a sufficient number of visits, we see which page is the best and keep only this one.

This allows us to improve the browsing experience on the site but also to learn about our audience. The more we understand them, the better we can please them.

Google Optimize uses Analytical cookies to “identify” visitors of different variants in order to 1) count them and allow us to compare and 2) ensure that a returning visitor will see the same page. There is therefore no data about you collected.

As a reminder, you can give or resume your consent to the use of Google Analytics’ advanced features (including Optimize) at any time by clicking on the links above.

2.5 Google AdWords cookies

Google Adwords is Google’s advertising platform. We use it to advertise our content and/or services to a qualified audience. Third parties (advertisers) use this information to provide advertisements about products and services tailored to your interests. Aton time do we have access to the information collected by these cookies, but we may use them in aggregate through Google’s advertising platform to offer content or services similar and/or complementary to those you might have consulted on this site. This process also allows us to manage and monitor the effectiveness of our marketing efforts.
