M-Files IMPACT Global Conference 2025 – Day 3

The last day of the M-Files IMPACT Global Conference 2025 was dedicated to M-Files partners only. Throughout the day, M-Files shared partner-specific information and hot news. Below is a summary of the main topics.

Keynote

In the Keynote session they emphasised theuir continueing support of their partner network. In addition, to that they shared the fininacle results of the partners in 2024 abd Q1 2025. Not to merntion any numbers but gave a smile in the face of the partners.

Once again, they mentioned the importance of such events for networking and learning from each other.

After the keynote, I had the opportunity to attend the technical breakout session and discuss M-Files add-ons with other partners in the exhibition hall.

Best Practices with Impact Demos

Best practices for M-Files demos was a very interesting session. It was emphasised to deliver as many impactful demos as possible and to break them down into vignettes. A key to a demo is to understand the customer’s needs and what would be of value to them.
This session was very helpful to me and will support me in the upcoming customer demos.

The following topics should be taken into consideration to deliver impactful demos.

• Be Engaging
• Provide Education
• Present Value

The demo session was followed by two sessions on M-Files implementation support, which partners can use for highly complex environments, and on implementing M-Files Hubshare to securely share M-Files content internally and externally. It is a great approach to work together, M-Files and the M-FILES partner, to deliver the best value to the customer.

New M-Files Admin

The first half of this session was a recap of what had been shared with M-Files customers during the first two days of the conference. In the second half we had the pleasure of a live demo of the current admin tool. Very interesting was the implementation of AINO, one of the ideas with AINO is to give advice to the administrator in case of a problem or error in the vault. I look forward to seeing this in action. After the demo, they announced that they would be forming a group of partners to test and develop M-Files Admin, and I expressed my willingness to be part of this initiative.

Partner Cloud Update for Administrators

This session was all about the new Partner Cloud and the M-Files experts gave a first-hand update for administrators of the Partner Cloud features. The Partner Cloud allows the partner to have better control over the subscription and the cloud vault. For example, scripts and applications no longer need to be tested with M-Files. This is due to the separation of the Standard Cloud and the Partner Cloud. Of course, this comes with the responsibility of ensuring the functionality of the custom scripts and application.

The final technical session of the day focused on developers and announced the implementation of script editors in the M-Files Admin Tool.

The conference ended with a closing session in which the M-Files team thanked all the partners for attending. They also emphasised the importance of the partner network and the need to work together as closely as possible in the future.

Afterwards I had to catch my plane back to Switzerland. All in all, it was a great and interesting week full of learning and news about M-Files.
