To switch to the new M-Files Desktop Client, make sure that you are not using the Custom UI and that the gRPC protocol is enabled.
M-Files Admin Goes Web
First, they showed us a bit of the history and development of the M-Files Admin Client over time. From a standard Microsoft Windows application with limited configuration options to a tool that allows complete configuration of M-Files. For example, the latest version has 1600 configuration options in the Advanced Configuration section alone. The screenshot below shows a preview of the new M-Files Admin Tool. It is important to note the integration of AINO, which will support the administrator in the future.

Enabling M-Files capabilities with Microsoft 365
Regarding the integration of M-Files and Microsoft 365. It is important to note that this is moving forward with a high level of focus from both sides. The fact that both companies are presenting together shows the close partnership between them.
Topics I would like to highlight include
- Enabling desktop co-authoring with M-Files
- M-Files for Outlook Pro
- M-Files for Microsoft Teams
- M-Files connector for Micrososft Copilot
See the screenshot below for the requirements to enable these features.
