gutter: true; first-line: 1\">alter table [SCOTT].[EMP] add SOURCE_COL varchar(10) default null;<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col03.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9153 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col03.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col03\" width=\"991\" height=\"540\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Now, I do the same on the source Oracle database:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: actionscript3; gutter: true; first-line: 1\">alter table SCOTT.EMP add SOURCE_COL varchar(10) default null;<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col04.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9154 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col04.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col04\" width=\"804\" height=\"387\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I control in the monitor what\u2019s append and see 1 error with the table SCOTT.EMP and in the log message, I see that the ALTER TABLE ADD SOURCE_COL don\u2019t work!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col06.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9156 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col06.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col06\" width=\"1326\" height=\"634\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It is logic, I have already the column in SQL Server\u2026 \ud83d\ude0e<\/p>\n<p>I update my table EMP on the source:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: sql; gutter: true; first-line: 1\">update SCOTT.EMP set source_col='change';\ncommit;<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col05.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9155 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col05.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col05\" width=\"907\" height=\"557\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Attunity Replicate replicates the update command to the destination<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col07.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9157 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col07.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col07\" width=\"951\" height=\"669\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I have a look on the destination and see that the update is applied on the additional column.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col08.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-9158 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Attunity_Replicate_Col08.png\" alt=\"Attunity_Replicate_Col08\" width=\"999\" height=\"526\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Like GoldenGate and the version 12.2, the additional column is updated in Attunity Replicate.
