gutter: true; first-line: 1\">USE [AdventureWorksDW2012];\nGO\nCREATE MASTER KEY ENCRYPTION BY PASSWORD = 'pa$$w0rd';\nCREATE DATABASE SCOPED CREDENTIAL StretchCred WITH IDENTITY = 'sth', SECRET = ' pa$$w0rd'';\nGO\n\nALTER DATABASE [AdventureWorksDW2012]\n    SET REMOTE_DATA_ARCHIVE = ON ( SERVER = 'ovv16an9fs.database.windows.net' , CREDENTIAL = StretchCred ) ;\nGO\n\n<\/pre>\n<p>Now, I create directly my table with the option REMOTE_DATA_ARCHIVE:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: sql; gutter: true; first-line: 1\">use [AdventureWorksDW2012]\n\nCREATE TABLE dbo.TestStretchTable\n(\n  FirstName VARCHAR(50),\n  LastName  VARCHAR(50)\n) WITH (REMOTE_DATA_ARCHIVE = ON (MIGRATION_STATE = PAUSED )) \n\nGO<\/pre>\n<p>I insert data to have something to transfer:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Create-Table-Stretch-03.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-7819 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Create-Table-Stretch-03.png\" alt=\"Create Table Stretch 03\" width=\"300\" height=\"181\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>With the option MIGRATION_STATE = PAUSED, on the SQL Database, I have no table.<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: sql;
