For example, it is not possible to send an email when a problem appear.<\/p>\n<p>However it is possible to use a Cloud Control on premise for monitoring this database. For that, it is necessary to have an EM12c release 5 and at least one agent installed.<\/p>\n<h2>How to configure a local agent<\/h2>\n<p>The first step is to configure a local agent to communicate with the cloud. This has to be an existing Agent. There are two differences, the first one is the use of an SSH connection and the second one is the use of a Hybrid Cloud Gateway Agent.<br \/>\nFor install the agent, go to the menu <strong>Setup<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Add target<\/strong> -&gt; <strong>Add Targets Manually<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Choose Add Host Targets and click on the Add Host button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_addtarget.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-4273 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_addtarget.png\" alt=\"screenshot_1_named_addtarget\" width=\"545\" height=\"190\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Enter the IP public address of your compute and the platform and click next button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_hosts.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-4274 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_hosts.png\" alt=\"screenshot_1_named_hosts\" width=\"707\" height=\"194\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Choose where the agent must be installed, the credential created\u00a0 earlier in this blog.<br \/>\nIn the Optional Details, check the Configure Hybrid Cloud Agent, choose the agent set in Hybrid Gateway Agent and click next button.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_insert1.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-4281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/screenshot_1_named_insert1.png\" alt=\"screenshot_1_named_insert\" width=\"1024\" height=\"810\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After that, we can see a summary of the configuration. First, Cloud Control will copy the agent on the server.<br \/>\nSecond, Cloud Control will do prerequisite tests.
