Following my curiosity and the Microsoft Learn article on this <a href=\"https:\/\/learn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql\/tools\/sqlcmd\/go-sqlcmd-utility?view=sql-server-ver16\">new tools<\/a>, I begin with the installation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-installation\">Installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The article is very clear about the installation, and I just follow the steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Step 1: Check if Winget is installed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My Test VM is under Windows Server 2022 and I run a cmd session:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"511\" height=\"192\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd01.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27189\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd01.png 511w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd01-300x113.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 511px) 100vw, 511px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>I have the message \u201c<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">winget is not recognized as an internal command<\/mark>\u201d. This means that Winget is not install and need to be download <a href=\"http:\/\/Use the winget tool to install and manage applications | Microsoft Learn\">here<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"978\" height=\"422\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd02.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27190\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd02.png 978w, following the error, I download the Microsoft.UI.Xaml.2.7&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"572\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd03-1024x572.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd03-1024x572.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd03-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd03-768x429.png 768w, and winget but when I check, winget is not recognized&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"979\" height=\"399\" https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd06-768x313.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 979px) 100vw, 979px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ok, no Problem, I google&#8230; And finally find this great and useful article from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.andreasnick.com\/about.html\">Andreas Nick<\/a>: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.andreasnick.com\/112-install-winget-and-appinstaller-on-windows-server-2022.html\">Install WinGet and AppInstaller on Windows Server 2022<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following all steps explained in the blog, I finally success to install Winget&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"846\" height=\"702\" Install go-sqlcmd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To install go-sqlcmd, i run the command: <strong>winget install sqlcmd<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img and you just need at the end to confirm  the agreements terms after reading it like usual&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd10-1024x662.png 1024w, the installation<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To verify the installation, reopen a new CMD windows and type sqlcmd:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"420\" height=\"148\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd11-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27203\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd11-1.png 420w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/08\/go-sqlcmd11-1-300x106.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 420px) 100vw, 420px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can see that I have the error &#8220;<mark class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">The system cannot find the file specifified<\/mark>&#8220;. <br>At this point and following the documentation, I type sqlcmd &#8211;help:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"836\" height=\"756\"
