This time, I&#8217;m going to speak about Reporting Services (SSRS) and some new features. Like my other article &#8220;<a href=\"\/sql-server-2012-new-features-for-integration-services-ssis\">SQL Server 2012: New features on Integration Services (SSIS)<\/a>&#8220;, this article presents a summary of new features and enhancements for SQL 2012 Reporting Services.<\/p>\n<p>The most important new feature is Power View (codename Crescent).<\/p>\n<h3>Power View<\/h3>\n<p>With his new file format RDLX, Power view is a new interactive BI feature.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" style=\"margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/IC541104.jpg\" alt=\"IC541104\" width=\"397\" height=\"228\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Based on Silverlight, end-users can visualize and interact directly with an SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services (SSAS) tabular model.<br \/>\nI will explain what news on SSAS is in the next article \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n<p>Power view is a good additional tool to display reports and to give to the end-user a solution to create self-report.<\/p>\n<p>For more information, click <a href=\"http:\/\/msdn.microsoft.com\/en-us\/library\/hh213579(v=sql.110).aspx\">here<\/a>.<br \/>\nTo have a set of sample to test it, click <a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/download\/en\/details.aspx?id=26718\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>SharePoint Mode<\/h3>\n<p>This new feature is based on a complete new architecture similar to SharePoint 2010 shared service.
