export my folders but with some fields missing ( for example the host name or the &#8220;run as&#8221; field ) but as you know it&#8217;s not possible to do such a task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Indeed ,when you define your jobs in the planning domain , before any check-in task , Control-M will check if all mandatory fields are correctly defined , if this prerequisite is completed then you will be able to make your export and to check in your folder <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Note: Before any check-in, the best practice is to perform an export of our folder in order to roll back your actions if you encounter an issue \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"396\" height=\"93\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Export the folder with missing fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s try an export&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" us that the export was not possible because of some errors found during the validation process <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Check-in the folder with missing fields<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we will try if we can perform a folder check-in&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22312\" width=\"823\" height=\"316\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP6.png 601w, message regarding the Check In requirements and  advising us to fix this error before being able to perform this update.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So obviously there is no way to do the export\/check-in unless we remove this alert window&#8230;.Thankfully there is a solution \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solution to allow Export\/Check-in with validation error<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the planning domain , go on file then select options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP21.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22299\" width=\"472\" height=\"411\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP21.png 435w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP21-300x261.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 472px) 100vw, 472px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In the planning part following Validity check, tick the box &#8220;Allow Export with Validation Errors&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"663\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22300\" there is a warning message but you can anyway save your export and also check-in the folder  ( that&#8217;s what we were trying to do )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img 1228w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">If you still have issues when trying to Export\/Check-in <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This solution is working for Control-M\/Enterprise Manager Version 9.0.18 and Above:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some people may still have issues when trying to export or check-in their folders , for that there is some additional tasks to perform:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, Connect to the Control-M Configuration Manager ( CCM ):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"326\" height=\"252\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-22304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP4.png 326w, https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2023\/02\/CTMEXP4-300x232.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 326px) 100vw, 326px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Then go to system parameters by right clicking on Control-EM EM component<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"979\" height=\"354\" then type &#8220;allow&#8221; in the &#8220;name&#8221; field of the search filter<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" 1231w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>update the value to YES &#8220;Y&#8221; for the field allowCheckingWithValidationErrors<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure update is to done only if you know what you are doing , by default it is better to let Control-M check the folder mandatory fields before any export\/check in  )<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2
