You will for sure you will find plenty of articles about it.<br>On my side I will rather focus on 2 thematics which are a bit closer and relevant for daily operational activities: Network &#8220;debugging&#8221; and the Resilience Hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Network monitoring and tracing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For sure you already faced a situation where 2 instances should be communicating (for sure)&#8230;but do not :-(. Resilience hub<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When setting an infrastructure for hosting one or more application, one of the key elements which shall never be under estimated is the infrastructure \/ application resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The can be summarized by 2 simple questions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How much can the application can be done?<br><strong>&#8211;&gt; RTO<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How much data can be lost?<br><strong>&#8211;&gt; RPO<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Even if regularly the first answer is 0 and 0 ;-), it requires deeper analysis and a some reflexion to find the right balance between resilience and costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To do so AWS provides you a great solution called the Resilience hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The principle is pretty simple:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On one hand you create a resilience policy defining the expected RTO and RPO either manually or using  suggested policies.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure Groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>App Registry<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Then you simply link the application to the appropriated resiliency policy allowing you to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Assess your application\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Can be run manually, scheduled or even integrated in your CI\/CD pipelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get resilience recommendations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>taking several possibilities in account (minimal changes, cost optimized, AZ optimized, &#8230;)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Get operational recommendations\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Monitoring (using CloudWatch alerts)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>SOP (standard operation procedures integrated as documents in Systems Manager)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chaos Engineering through fault injections<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Run experiments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img
