More detail <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.microsoft.com\/en-us\/sql\/database-engine\/configure-windows\/common-criteria-compliance-enabled-server-configuration-option?view=sql-server-2017\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/li>\n<li>The 8 new options are:\n<ul>\n<li>ID 1588 named \u201ccolumn encryption enclave type\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 1589 named \u201ctempdb metadata memory-optimized\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 1591 named \u201cADR cleaner retry timeout (min) \u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 1592 named \u201cADR Preallocation Factor\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 1593 named \u201cversion high part of SQL Server\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 1594 named \u201cversion low part of SQL Server\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 16398 named \u201callow filesystem enumeration\u201d<\/li>\n<li>ID 16399 named \u201cpolybase enabled\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>After we identify the new parameters, we will go a step forward with the configuration with this query:<\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: sql; gutter: true; first-line: 1\">select * FROM sys.configurations where configuration_id in (1588,1589,1591,1592,1593,1594,16398,16399)<\/pre>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/config04.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-50650 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/config04.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"72\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We can see that only one value has 1 and not 0 by default, the parameter \u201callow filesystem enumeration\u201d.<br \/>\nThe 2 others interesting columns is \u201cis_dynamic\u201d and \u201cis_advanced\u201d:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>When \u201cis_dynamic\u201d is set to 1, the parameter need a RECONFIGURE to be activate.<\/li>\n<li>When \u201cis_advanced\u201d is set to1, the parameter is in the advanced configuration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I will not explain or test the new parameter in this article.<br \/>\nIt\u2019s just to give you a view of the new SQL Server 2019 Instance configuration options.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>SQL Server 2019 added new options in sp_configure and sys.configurations.
