Oracle Fusion Middleware 12cR2 (12.2.1.3.0) will be Oracle Reports terminal release.<\/p>\n<p>Oracle Report customers can migrate to Oracle BI Publisher (Oracle official tool for oracle reporting) at their own place while continuing to receive extended support as specified by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/technetwork\/middleware\/reports\/downloads\/oracle-reports-sod-3236098.pdf\">Oracle Reports Statement of Direction.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Oracle BI Publisher provides Oracle Reports to BI Publisher Conversion Assistant (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.oracle.com\/technetwork\/middleware\/bi-publisher\/e28918-02-1967539.pdf\">official documentation<\/a>) as a tool to convert reports from the Oracle Reports format to the Oracle BI Publisher format.<\/p>\n<p>From a license point of view:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>For the moment, Oracle BI Publisher is free for all customers having a valid license for Oracle Forms and Oracle Reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Source:<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/en\/middleware\/fusion-middleware\/fmwlc\/application-server-products-new-structure.html#GUID-A4194A90-9FDD-4C55-BCBB-D59B217BEC44\">https:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/en\/middleware\/fusion-middleware\/fmwlc\/application-server-products-new-structure.html#GUID-A4194A90-9FDD-4C55-BCBB-D59B217BEC44<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s test this conversion tool:<\/p>\n<p><strong><span lang=\"EN-US\">Report Conversion Tools <\/span>Installation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Before to install <span lang=\"EN-US\">OR2BIPConvAssist<\/span> tool, Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) must be installed. Check the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.oracle.com\/middleware\/bi12214\/bip\/docs.htm\">Oracle BI Publisher documentation<\/a> to install it. Program Units in Oracle Reports are used in general to calculate oracle reports formulas columns (column where the results comes from a PL\/SQL procedures or packages).<\/li>\n<li>The oracle report triggers must be refactored since the report conversion tool does not migrate them. This oracle report triggers are responsible to display or hide some fields.
