This feature requires the User Messaging Service that was part of the SOA software in previous versions. This is the default for all new WebLogic Servers in the configuration wizard. Best is to change it to the default SOA port that is 8001 (it can help avoiding some troubles with hard coded ports in some applications).<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf12.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29748\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf12.png\" alt=\"conf12\" width=\"300\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAs this OAM WebLogic Domain was configured with clusters, I had to create an UMS cluster named ums_cluster.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf13.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29749\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf13.png\" alt=\"conf13\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nI did not use server templatres neither dynamic servers. Nothing changed in the next two wizards.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf14.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf14.png\" alt=\"conf14\" width=\"300\" height=\"234\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf15.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29751\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf15.png\" alt=\"conf15\" width=\"300\" height=\"237\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAssigned the ums_server1 to the ums_cluster moving it from the right panel to the left panel under the ums_cluster.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf16.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29752\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf16.png\" alt=\"conf16\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe coherence cluster existed already in the OAM WebLogic Domain and the machine too. Not changes was done in the next two wizards.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf17.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29753\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf17.png\" alt=\"conf17\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf18.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29754\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf18.png\" alt=\"conf18\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe ums_server1 was attached to the already existing machine moving it from the left panel to the right panel under the existing machine.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf19.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29755\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf19.png\" alt=\"conf19\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nThe deployments and the services were not changed. No actions was applied on the two next wizards.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf20.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29756\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf20.png\" alt=\"conf20\" width=\"300\" height=\"235\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf21.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29757\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf21.png\" alt=\"conf21\" width=\"300\" height=\"238\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe kept the persistence file store file name as it was proposed by default.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf22.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29758\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf22.png\" alt=\"conf22\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nWe checked the summary and clicked the Update button to extend the OAM WebLogic Domain.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf23.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29759\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf23.png\" alt=\"conf23\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAll went smoothly without errors.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf24.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29760\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/conf24.png\" alt=\"conf24\" width=\"300\" height=\"236\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAfter the Domain has been Extended, it was started. The first time the ums_server1 had to be started manually using the startManagedWebLogic.sh script.<\/p>\n<h3>Configure the UMS email driver.<\/h3>\n<p>We decided to use mails to send the One Time Pin token to the users requesting to reset their password.<\/p>\n<p>This configuration has to be done through the Fusion Middleware Enterprise Manager Console.<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM1-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29807\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM1-2.png\" alt=\"EM1\" width=\"245\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSelect usermessaginserver (ums_server1)<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM2-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29808\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM2-2.png\" alt=\"EM2\" width=\"300\" height=\"127\" \/><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM3-2.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-29809\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/EM3-2.png\" alt=\"EM3\" width=\"300\" height=\"54\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nAt the bottom of the page, look for the Email driver and click the configure button.
