Before 18c, this was easy on Oracle Enterprise Linux (OEL) but not so easy on RedHat (RHEL) where the .rpm had many dependencies on OEL and UEK.<br \/>\nNow that 18c is there to download, there&#8217;s also the 18c preinstall rpm and the good news is that it can be run also on RHEL without modification.<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\nThis came to my attention on Twitter:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">On the other hand, you may not have noticed that it no longer requires Oracle Linux specific RPMs. It can now
