{"id":10586,"date":"2017-10-27T17:50:15","date_gmt":"2017-10-27T15:50:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/configuring-fusion-middleware-12c-reports-server-with-single-sign-on-and-external-ldap-server\/"},"modified":"2024-09-11T08:51:04","modified_gmt":"2024-09-11T06:51:04","slug":"configuring-fusion-middleware-12c-reports-server-with-single-sign-on-and-external-ldap-server","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/configuring-fusion-middleware-12c-reports-server-with-single-sign-on-and-external-ldap-server\/","title":{"rendered":"Configuring Fusion Middleware 12C Reports Server with Single Sign On and External LDAP server"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Most of the time when the Reports Server is configured with an Single Sign On Server, it uses the same external LDAP server as the Single Sign On Server.<br \/>\nIn our case, we used an Oracle Access Manager as Single Sign On and an Oracle Internet Directory as LDAP server.<br \/>\nOf course the Fusion Middleware needs to be configured with the external LDAP server. This means an Oracle Internet Directory authenticator provider declared in the WebLogic Domain.<br \/>\nAnd an OAM Identity Assert for the Single Sign On part. But this is part to the normal Fusion Middleware configuration with SSO and external LDAP.<\/p>\n<p>With this configuration in place, once the Reports Server is configured to use the SSO, the following error raises:<\/p>\n<p><strong>REP-56071: User does not exist in Id Store<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is due because Reports Server is not using the default Fusion Middleware Policy Store(jps-config.xml) but the Java Policy Store(jps-config-jse.xml). Checking this file, we can see that the Identity Store is configured to file and not to External LDAP server.<\/p>\n<p>The following of this blog provides the configuration to put in place for the reports Server to take the external LDAP Server as Identity Store.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1.<\/strong> <strong>Configure Report Server in SSO mode<\/strong><\/p>\n<pre class=\"brush: actionscript3; gutter: false; first-line: 1\">cd $DOMAIN_HOME\n \nvi  .\/config\/fmwconfig\/servers\/WLS_REPORTS\/applications\/reports_12.2.1\/configuration\/rwservlet.properties\n&lt;?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?&gt;\n&lt;rwservlet  xmlns_xsd=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2001\/XMLSchema\"&gt;\n   &lt;server&gt;rep_wls_reports_dev12cvm&lt;\/server&gt;\n   &lt;singlesignon&gt;no&lt;\/singlesignon&gt;\n   &lt;inprocess&gt;yes&lt;\/inprocess&gt;\n   &lt;webcommandaccess&gt;L2&lt;\/webcommandaccess&gt;\n&lt;\/rwservlet&gt;\n<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"brush: actionscript3; gutter: false; first-line: 1\">Change singlesignon value to yes<\/pre>\n<pre class=\"brush: actionscript3; gutter: false; first-line: 1\">&lt;?xml version=\"1.0\" encoding=\"UTF-8\"?&gt;\n&lt;rwservlet  xmlns_xsd=\"http:\/\/www.w3.org\/2001\/XMLSchema\"&gt;\n   &lt;server&gt;rep_wls_reports_dev12cvm&lt;\/server&gt;\n   &lt;singlesignon&gt;yes&lt;\/singlesignon&gt;\n   &lt;inprocess&gt;yes&lt;\/inprocess&gt;\n   &lt;webcommandaccess&gt;L2&lt;\/webcommandaccess&gt;\n&lt;\/rwservlet&gt;<\/pre>\n<p><strong>2.
