If you want more details about the Oracle Big Data cloud services offering, you can refer to my previous blog <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/introduction-to-oracle-big-data-services\/\">Introduction to Oracle Big Data<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>First, you need to create your trial account through the following link: <a title=\"https:\/\/cloud.oracle.com\/tryit\" href=\"https:\/\/cloud.oracle.com\/tryit\">https:\/\/cloud.oracle.com\/tryit.<\/a> Note that, when you create your trial account, all information (phone number, address, credit card&#8230;), must be from the same country. Otherwise, you will get an error message.<\/p>\n<p>Then you will get an email from Oracle with your connection information. The 4 main connection information are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Service URL: <a href=\"https:\/\/myservices.us.oraclecloud.com\/mycloud\/a513692\/faces\/dashboard.jspx\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #008cba\">https:\/\/myservices.us.oraclecloud.com &#8230; <\/span><\/a>(Depending on the region you will be affected)<\/li>\n<li>Identity domaine<\/li>\n<li>Username (email address)<\/li>\n<li>Temporal password<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the first connection you need to change your password and answer to 3 secret questions.<\/p>\n<p>You are now login into the Oracle Cloud Services Dashboard. Select the &#8220;Big Data &#8211; Compute Edition&#8221; service to create your cluster.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.20.03.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18715\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.20.03.png\" alt=\"BDCS-CE Dashboard\" width=\"378\" height=\"238\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Click on &#8220;Service&#8221; and &#8220;Create Service&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.31.19.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18716\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.31.19.png\" alt=\"BDCS-CE Create Cluster\" width=\"374\" height=\"182\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First, complete the service information. Cluster name, description&#8230; and click on &#8220;Next&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.35.06.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-18717\" src=\"https:\/\/www.dbi-services.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2017-09-25-at-11.35.06.png\" alt=\"BDCS-CE Cluster creation \" width=\"383\" height=\"143\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Then, you enter the details of your Big Data cluster (configuration, credentials, storage&#8230;).<\/p>\n<h4>Cluster configuration:<\/h4>\n<p>Use the &#8220;full&#8221; deployment. It will provision a cluster w<span id=\"r1:3:pt1det:pt1ProvFlow:detailsPage:leftIterator:0:i3:0:j_id__ctru47pc3:i3_dc_soc_def:j_id__ctru9pc106\" class=\"x1a\"><span class=\"x2it\">ith Spark, MapReduce, Zeppelin, Hive, Spark Thrift, Big Data File System. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h4>Credentials:<\/h4>\n<p>Generate an ssh public key and insert it (see screenshot below). Update or keep the current Administrative user \/ password which is very important for the next operations.<\/p>\n<h4>Storage:<\/h4>\n<p>Oracle Public Cloud is working with Object storage container. Which means that, a storage container can be used by all cloud services. For the Big Data Service you need to use an existing storage container or create one.
