OTDS – Installation of Replicas fail if the OT Admin password is too long?

For simplicity, in this blog, I will refer to the first OTDS instance as the “Primary” (the synchronization master host, installed with ISREPLICA_TOPOLOGY=0=FALSE) and any additional instances as “Replicas” (installed with ISREPLICA_TOPOLOGY=1=TRUE). Over the past few years, I have(…)

Dctm – Managing licenses through OTDS

As you might know, since Documentum 24.4, there is a new requirement to have a valid license assigned to a user in order to log in to Documentum. This is a pretty important change, most likely designed with the(…)

Dctm – Incorrect r_object_id reference in OTDS

After doing some more upgrades from Documentum 20.2 to 23.4, including D2, I faced a funny error about invalid licenses (DM_LICENSE_E_INVALID_LICENSE) while trying to login to D2 through OTDS SSO. That’s interesting because there is no license management for(…)

Documentum – Login through OTDS without oTExternalID3

As you might know, Documentum “deprecated” (in reality disabled completely) the different Authentication Plugins that were bundled with a Documentum Server. That means that with recent versions of Documentum, you cannot login to your LDAP-managed account anymore without having(…)

Documentum – Silent Install – OTDS

A bit more than 6 years ago (already), I wrote a series of blogs about the silent install of some standard Documentum component. It included things from the binaries, the Docbroker(…)
