Just stumbled over this blog article and wanted to point something out:
The command &quot;sudo restorecon -R -v /etc/etcd&quot; will actually OVERWRITE any SELinux type that does not conform to the current default with what is specified for the directory (or any parent directory) as the default SELinux type.
Anything you set with &quot;sudo semanage fcontext -a -t bin_t /etc/etcd/etcd.service&quot; will be reset to type etc_t with that command.
