Hi Markus, Oracle sent us the X10 data sheets and the "Oracle Database Appliance X10 Model Family" technical brief. You can read in these documents that the only supported edition and versions are 19c Enterprise and 21 Enterprise, 21c still being supported as DB System only. I compared these data sheets with X9 one's: X9 supports both Enterprise and Standard editions. But you're true: maybe it will need SE2 licensing rules update from Oracle. Keeping both X9 and X10 for now is OK, but X9 will sooner or later be obsolete, and I cannot imagine ODA not being available anymore for Standard edition users.

Hi Jérome
Did you get in touch with Oracle before writing this Blog article ? Are you absolutely sure about Standard Edition being excluded? As I have different info. The objection on this topic is, that the EPYC 9334 CPUs are multi-chip-modules. And as a matter of fact, this is not SE compliant. Yet I have a different info from Oracle: "ODA continues to support EE and SE2. However, Oracle may change the SE2 licensing on AMD policy in the near future." But this is not a binding committment - however, exclusion of SE isn't either.
